The White Ribbon Campaign
The White ribbon campaign is an International campaign to end violence against women. It began with men leading campaigns to end violence against women but at womankind we like women and men, girls and boys to stand together to end violence against women. Wearing a white ribbon is a personal pledge to never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women and girls. Wearing a white ribbon is a way of saying, “Our future has no violence against women.”
The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women on the 25th November is the start of the campaign and it carries on for 16 days of activism.

On-line Toolkit
We have developed resources and guidance for schools to run a white ribbon campaign. Students can be supported to display posters, create assemblies and other creative ideas.
The International day for the Elimination of Violence against women is the 25th November, this is part of Anti-bullying week. This provides an ideal opportunity to link stopping sexual bullying to violence against women and lets students explore the links.
