Read WOMANKIND Worldwide’s response to the UK Department for International Development’s (DFID) consultation on its Third White Paper. The White Paper will help shape UK development policy and outline what the UK government plans to do, in the UK and internationally, to reduce poverty. DFID’s consultation was based on a short consultation document and a series of six speeches given by Hilary Benn, the Secretary of State for International Development, setting out the themes that the White Paper will cover. These include governance, humanitarian and conflict issues and public services.
