This International Women’s Day Womankind Worldwide celebrates the achievements of women in the past 100 years. But we have a long way to go until women’s rights are realised across the world. So we will also be looking ahead and thinking about what we would like to see achieved for women in this next centenary.

  1. Join our Wish for Women Campaign. If you tweet, please tweet your wish for women - #wish4women. If not, please send us your wish for women.
  2. See other people’s inspiring wishes below including some of Womankind’s amazing partners
  3. Stay connected – send us a message on twitter and facebook – tell us what you think of our campaign or which are your favourite wishes - just use #wish4women
  4. Tell friends, family and your contacts about our campaign and encourage them to join. The more people, the louder our collective voice.

Together we can speak up for millions of women who face violence and discrimination.

Women have the power to make change happen. As individuals we have nurtured generations, as a collective we have transformed societies. Our resilience, will, zeal and desires should be translated into actions that influence decisions at the family, community, national and international levels. Together, we can! Bernice Sam, WiLDAF Ghana (Womankind partner).

I wish all women, wherever they are located or their background, are free from discrimination and can live to their full potential as human beings. I wish women can be genuinely happy, feel good about themselves and always wear a smile. Tsitsi, Womankind.
