Women’s rights advocacy toolkit
New resources for women’s rights activists
Our Women’s Rights Advocacy Toolkit and Training Pack supports women’s organisations and activists to advocate for change.
At Womankind we believe that the denial of women’s rights and inequality between women and men is one of the greatest injustices the world faces. We believe that advocacy, alongside programme work, is vital to bring about the changes that are needed.
Partner organisations
We’ve worked with our partner organisations in Afghanistan, Bolivia, Ghana, Nepal, Peru, South Africa and Zimbabwe to produce this package to help you plan and implement advocacy and campaigns on women’s rights. The toolkit provides information and case studies to help you define your goal and objectives, identify your targets and allies, build support for your campaign within your organisation, decide on your tactics, and measure your success!
We’ve also produced a feminist training programme, based on the toolkit, to support women and men to build the knowledge, skills and confidence to advocate for the changes they want to see. The training package explores issues of women’s rights, power and social change, and provides activists with practical tips, tools and techniques for planning successful advocacy. It has been piloted in 7 countries so far.
We are thankful to UKAid for funding this project.
You can download the resources here. We hope you find them useful and would be delighted to know how you use them in your work. Email us on info@womankind.org.uk to let us know!
