When you contact Womankind in relation to our activities, register as a supporter, send information or make a donation to us, you provide us with your personal information.

WOMANKIND uses the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) secure system to ensure the safety of online transactions for those wishing to make donations. All personal information transmissions that provide payment or account details are encrypted using the security standard known as Secure Socket Layer (SSL), which encrypts information you input.
Personal Information
Personal information is anything that enables us to identify you as an individual, for example, your name and e-mail address. When you supply information to us, we are legally obliged by the Data Protection Act 1998 to ensure that the information you have provided is only used for the purpose for which it was requested, and to ensure that the data is kept securely.
3. Can WOMANKIND guarantee the security of your personal data while it is being transmitted on the Internet?
It is not possible to guarantee the total security of any data transmission over the internet. This means we cannot ensure the total security of any information you send to us, and you therefore do this at your own risk. However, once we receive your data, we do everything we can to make sure that it is secure on our systems.
