Aurora Vivar is a national organisation working to establish the economic rights, particularly in the workplace.
Area of work: Supporting women in positions of leadership
Aurora Vivar training and support workshops for womens organisations around issues of identity and self esteem, organisation and management, strategic planning and citizenship, and human rights. They also run training for local government officials at regional and local government levels around human rights and equal opportunities in education and the workplace. They also lobby for the introduction of political, social and economic policies that have a positive impact on womens lives.

As many powers traditionally associated with central government are being decentralised, and local and regional employment policies are being developed it is important that womens social and economic rights are understood and built in to strategies from their inception. Aurora Vivar is delivering a series of workshops to explore gender, equality of opportunity and development; International and national instruments for local and regional government which respects equality of opportunity; Pulling together an equal opportunities agenda for regional/local government.
