The White Ribbon campaign creates the active citizenship component of the UK Schools programme 'Challenging Violence, Changing Lives'. We are engaging schools across the UK to have young people led campaigns:
- To stop violence against women in the UK
- To stop sexual bullying in the school

Opportunity for schools
- To promote active citizenship and young people's participation
- To demonstrate school's commitment to the Every Child Matters and National Healthy Schools agenda?? through work to prevent violence against women and to stop sexual bullying bullying
Opportunity for students
- To work with a group of students to discuss, create and deliver change within the school
- To gain invaluable experience in organising student activism
- To raise their voices in a Global campaign to end violence against women
School Involvement
- To establish a time and date when Hannah can work with a group of young people to look at the issue of violence against women and/or sexual bullying in their school & provide campaign training to the young people
- To offer whole-school support to following through strategies to stop violence against women and sexual bullying
- To support the young people to run surveys throughout the school
- To support the young people to run their own campaign within the school during
The 16 days of Activism from the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, 25th November - International Human Rights Day, 10th December are a Global time period to campaign to end violence against women.

The 16 days of Activism are an ideal time to run a school campaign but there is no stopping you from organising a campaign at any time of year.
