I think that people need to be told clearly what is and what is not sexual intimidation, because I have never been quite sure. I agree with all these points, but think that more awareness should be raised.

The White Ribbon campaign creates the active citizenship component of the UK Schools programme 'Challenging Violence, Changing Lives'. We are engaging schools across the UK to have young people led campaigns:

To stop violence against women in the UK
To stop sexual bullying in the school

Schools are provided with an on-line tool kit, posters and white ribbons. This year to track the learning from young people and schools' we are supporting participants to run their own campaigns within the school.

To work with a group of students to discuss, create and deliver change within the school

To gain invaluable experience in organising student activism
To raise their voices in a Global campaign to end violence against women

School Involvement

To establish a time and date when Hannah can work with a group of young people to look at the issue of violence against women and/or sexual bullying in their school & provide campaign training to the young people
To offer whole-school support to following through strategies to stop violence against women and sexual bullying
To support the young people to run surveys throughout the school
To support the young people to run their own campaign within the school during

Campaign in School

The 16 days of Activism from the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, 25th November - International Human Rights Day, 10th December are a Global time period to campaign to end violence against women.

The 16 days of Activism are an ideal time to run a school campaign but there is no stopping you from organising a campaign at any time of year.
