Stop Sexual Bullying

White Ribbon Campaign History

Contact UK Schools Team

I think that people need to be told clearly what is and what is not sexual intimidation, because I have never been quite sure. I agree with all these points, but think that more awareness should be raised.

(Young woman, Year 10, School in Haringey)

I think it is good that young people are spreading their opinions of this matter, and that they are being involved in this.

(Young woman, Year 9, School in Coventry)

I think bullying and sexual harassment should be talked about, because children should know the effects of it.

(Young man, Year 9, School in Coventry)

Remember your strengths, your power, and your brilliance. Act as a leader to create and empower change within your community. Stand up tall and say NO to sexual bullying in your school and violence against women across the world.

The White Ribbon campaign creates the active citizenship component of the UK Schools programme 'Challenging Violence, Changing Lives'. We are engaging schools across the UK to have young people led campaigns:

Schools are provided with an on-line tool kit, posters and white ribbons. This year to track the learning from young people and schools' we are supporting participants to run their own campaigns within the school.
