Chiara Capraro

Policy & Advocacy Manager – Economic Rights
Chiara Capraro, Policy Manager
Chiara leads Womankind’s policy and advocacy work on economic rights. This includes supporting our partners to analyse and research issues related to women’s economic rights in their context and push for progressive solutions that can tangibly improve women’s lives at national, regional and global level. She also leads Womankind’s work on financing for women’s rights organisations, especially for small organisations.

Prior to joining Womankind, Chiara was Gender Policy Adviser at Christian Aid where she led work on gender responsive tax and fiscal policy. Before moving to the UK, Chiara worked in Southern India with women living with HIV and in Italy with women migrants, supporting them to access health care and other services and fight discrimination.

Chiara is active in the feminist movement in Italy and the UK and enjoys tweeting as much as sitting down to draw a good old banner.
