Dinah Musindarwezo is a feminist and gender and development expert who is passionate about creating an environment, systems and structures that work favourably for all women and girls without any form of discrimination. For over 13 years, Dinah has dedicated her time to work towards achieving gender equality,  advancing women and girl's human rights and the empowerment of women and girls through working with national, regional and international NGOs and movements.  

Before joining Womankind Worldwide Dinah was the Executive Director of FEMNET (a Pan African feminist network of women’s rights organisations and individual activists).  At FEMNET, Dinah played a key role in strengthening African women’s voice and influence through working with women’s movements and organisations to influence key international, regional and national policies in favour of all women and girls, most notably the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Currently, Dinah serves on UN Women East and Southern Africa Regional Civil Society Advisory Group, she is a board member of Amplify Change Fund, Article 19 East and Horn of Africa regional Office and Trust for Indigenous Culture and Health (TICAH).

Dinah was named among the 100 most Influential people in gender policy around the world by apolitical in 2018 inaugural annual list.

Dinah holds a Master’s degree in Gender and Development from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex, in the UK and a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from Makerere University, in Uganda.
