Policy and Advocacy Manager - Violence Against Women and Girls

Womankind is looking for a Policy and Advocacy Manager to plan and lead our policy and advocacy work on ending violence against women and girls. We are looking for someone to build on our history and strong track record of work on violence against women and girls (VAWG) and further develop and deliver our policy and advocacy work in this area as well as work closely with partners and colleagues to develop and manage new projects.

You will be part of the dynamic Policy, Programmes and Learning Team, and contribute to our work to ensure that the voices of marginalised women are heard at all levels of decision-making. You will work closely with teams across the organisation as well as external stakeholders to ensure that ending violence against women and girls is at the top of policy and political agendas.

If you are a passionate feminist, with sound knowledge of VAWG and women’s rights, the ability to communicate them clearly and advocate for change, then we would love to hear from you.

Womankind is looking for a Policy and Advocacy Manager to plan and lead our policy and advocacy work on women’s economic rights, including work on land rights, business and human rights, access to decent work and unpaid care. We are looking for someone to build on our strong foundation of work in this area and work closely with partners and colleagues to develop and manage new projects.

You will be part of the dynamic Policy, Programmes and Learning Team, and contribute to our work to ensure that the voices of marginalised women are heard at all levels of decision-making. You will work closely with teams across the organisation as well as external stakeholders, building on and expanding our established work in this area, to increase the impact of our policy and advocacy work and strengthen the delivery of projects related to women’s economic rights.

Human Resources and Office Manager

We are looking for a Human Resources and Office Manager to join the Finance and Resources Team. This role is central to Womankind’s work on organisational development, governance and human resource management and capacity. This is an exciting role for a senior level HR and Office Manager, looking for a sole charge position and reports to the Director of Finance and Resources. The role encompasses full duties of HR management and managing the office and provides executive support to the CEO.

Working with the Finance and Resources Team, you will lead on HR management and development and ensure the efficient and smooth running of the office in line with Womankind’s organisational strategy. Our ideal candidate will be able to juggle competing and time-bound priorities, and will have demonstrable experience of working with senior level colleagues and with a Board. You will have significant HR management and organisational development expertise, illustrated through your HR experience across a number of different contexts, and will be fully conversant with UK employment legislation and best practice.

You understand and actively support Womankind’s vision, aims and values. A background in international development, women’s rights or experience of living and working internationally is an advantage.
