Communications Officer

Womankind Worldwide is a global women’s rights organisation working in partnership with women’s rights movements and organisations to transform the lives of women and girls. We strengthen and support women’s movements in our focus countries in Africa and Asia, and take collective action at regional and global levels, to ensure women’s voices are heard, their rights are realised, and their lives are free from violence.

Womankind is looking for a dynamic Communications Officer with the passion, experience and skills to help raise the profile of Womankind among key audiences, engage our supporters and support our work strengthening women’s movements.

The Communications Officer will be responsible for assisting with our internal and external communications. They will play a key role in supporting the planning and successful delivery of WK’s cross-organisational initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years communications experience incorporating managing social media channels, writing engaging copy, managing media relations and communicating with supporters. 35 hours a week


£29,028 per annum (pro rata - £27,818.5)


Temporary (11.5 months)

Probationary period

3 months


25 days per annum (pro rata) plus statutory holidays (plus 3 extra days given for the Christmas and new year period when the office is closed).
