Director of Policy & Communications

Womankind are seeking a new Director of Policy and Communications with the passion, experience and skills to raise the profile and influence of Womankind among decision makers and support our vital work of strengthening women’s movements. If you are a passionate feminist, with strong roots and connectivity within the global women’s movement and the ability to lead communication and advocacy for change, then we would love to hear from you.

This role reports to the Chief Executive and is part of the Policy, Programmes and Learning team. The post holder will work alongside the Director of Policy, Programmes and Learning and colleagues across the organisation, as well as with our partners in the Global South and other stakeholders. The aim of the role is to increase the impact of our policy, advocacy and communications work and in so doing to strengthen the delivery of our projects.

Womankind's strategic partnership with women’s rights organisations and women’s movements forms the bedrock of our policy, advocacy and communications work. All Womankind staff engage in project design, proposal development and ultimately project management and participation. We commit to accountability for what we plan and implement our work through transparent, inclusive, disciplined and ethical project management in close consultation and collaboration with our partners.

25 days per annum plus statutory holidays (plus 3 extra days given for the Christmas and new year period when the office is closed).
