Catastrophic flooding hit Kenya, and neighbouring Tanzania, last month. Over 200,000 people have been displaced according to government estimates. Their homes, belongings and livelihoods swept away by flash flooding and deadly landslides. 200 people have lost their lives with many others still missing.
Disaster response
Many of our partner organisations in Kenya have rushed to provide emergency support to those who have lost their homes. They have already distributed food, clothing, bedding and more for those setting up in temporary accommodation.
But they’re reporting that the need for emergency supplies is far more than what they can supply!
