Community Action Center Nepal (CAC-Nepal) works in partnership with local communities, national and international partners, from the grassroots level to the policy level, to advocate for the rights of women and children in Nepal.
Community Action Center Nepal (CAC-Nepal) was established in 1993 to work in partnership with local communities, national and international partners, from the grassroots level to the policy level, to advocate for the rights of women and children in Nepal.

By supporting women to become economically, socially and psychologically independent and self-reliant, and focusing on gender equity, it empowers women’s position in the community and helps raise their standard of living. CAC-Nepal’s work also focuses on protecting and preventing children from all forms of abuse and maltreatment, ensuring their right to freedom and education. Other objectives include: taking action against gender based violence and the trafficking of women and children; preventing HIV/AIDS and the sexual exploitation of women and children; and ending discrimination against HIV positive female and male in communities.

The main focus of Womankind's partnership with CAC-Nepal is contributing to the shared aim of strengthening the women’s movement in Nepal through research collaboration. The partnership will contribute to Womankind's focus area of strengthening and supporting a diverse range of organisations working on women’s rights in Nepal with particular focus on feminist documentation and research as a key part of initiatives that can bring women's rights organisations together and to strengthen the evidence base for projects and activities.
