Ethiopian Women Lawyers Association (EWLA) is a non-profit and non-partisan organisation established in 1995 by a group of Ethiopian women lawyers with the overall objective of promoting the legal, economic, social, and political rights of Ethiopian women under the FDRE Constitution and the relevant human rights conventions.

EWLA's mission is promoting women's empowerment and access to justice, strengthening the capacity of duty bearers, and influencing policies, laws, and practices to realise women's equal rights. Its head office is in Addis Ababa with six branches in Bahir Dar, Assosa, Hawassa, Adama/Nazareth, Diredawa and Gambella which are supported by 53 trained voluntary committee members organised at woreda and zonal levels providing structures to reach women at grassroots level in Ethiopia.
