The National Association of Women’s Organisations in Uganda (NAWOU) trains women and other women’s right organisations in areas such as gender and human rights, economic rights, health, women and the environment, and leadership.

NAWOU is an umbrella organisation formed in 1993 with the aim of bringing together the women right’s movement to promote women's rights and improve their social and economic status.

Womankind is supporting NAWOU’s work on a project combatting violence against women and girls in two districts of Uganda through a community based approach. Womankind also works with NAWOU to strengthen their organisational capacity so they can run sustainably.
