WiLDAF-Ghana is one of the members of a strong pan-African organisation, bringing together different organisations to promote a culture of respect for women’s rights in Africa.

WiLDAF was established in 1991 with the aim of empowering women by promoting their rights and ensuring their active participation in their communities.

WiLDAF operates a network of Legal Literacy Volunteers (or LLVs), women and men trained to provide legal aid and support to women affected by domestic abuse. WiLDAF also does important work on government policies, such as their highly effective promotion of the Domestic Violence Bill and Affirmative Action policies.
