Empowering Women-Led Organisations in Afghanistan: Grant Support and Fiscal Hosting

This project aims to achieve significant and lasting change for women-led organisations (WROs) in Afghanistan by ensuring they can retain their registration and operational presence. By providing small grants of up to £2,000 to six carefully selected WROs, the project seeks to address the immediate financial challenges these organisations face, enabling them to navigate the complex bureaucratic landscape and continue their vital work in advocacy, community support, and service delivery.

The primary beneficiaries of this project are the selected women-led organisations, which represent diverse sectors such as education, and human rights advocacy. By strengthening their operational stability, the project empowers these organisations to maintain their activities, support their communities, and advocate for women’s rights in a challenging environment. Furthermore, the project indirectly benefits the broader community of women and girls in Afghanistan, as these organisations play a crucial role in providing essential services, fostering empowerment, and promoting gender equality
