How do you put feminism into action at Womankind?
By being available be it with my voice, time, network, or influence I intend to make that available for the benefit of Womankind
Tell us about your feminist journey?
My parents separated when I was 14. My mum has always taken pride from the fact she was financially independent and made sure to make me and my sister notice. My father on the other end, has always treated both my sister and I as if we could do anything we put our mind to, no limits. I grew up with open minded parents who believed in hard work and people, not gender, or race, just merits. My view of the world was one of meritocracy. It wasn’t until my late teens / early twenties that I realised I had lived in a bubble. That feminist was very much needed, that gender bias was everywhere. I am privileged and with that comes responsibility. I feel is my responsibility to give back and now having 2 daughters and in a world which seems to be going backwards that feel is stronger than ever.
