Fashion and Feminism on Savile Row

On Tuesday 5 April fashion and feminism came together when Savile Row tailor Gormley& Gamble hosted the launch event for our new partnership.

Phoebe Gormley, founder of Gormley & Gamble, is Savile Row’s first women’s-only tailor and is making sure that her business supports other women along the way. Gathering the guests together to say a few words, she asked them to imagine their lives if they didn’t have access to clean water, education or basic freedoms. This is the case for many women around the world.

But Phoebe also made it clear that if women stand together and help each other along, we can achieve equality. And that’s where our new partnership comes in. Gormley & Gamble is breaking with tradition and changing Savile Row and that’s exactly what our partners are doing around the world. Giving women access to proper healthcare, training them in business development and ensuring more women are represented in politics are all ways to break gender inequality and change communities for the better.

Gormley & Gamble’s support, through donations and fundraising events, will make a huge difference to the lives of women across Africa, Asia and Latin America. We’re delighted to be partnering with a like-minded company that celebrates women.
