How do you put feminism into action at Womankind?
As the Finance and Office Assistant at Womankind, I support with the smooth running of the office and with financial processes across the organisation.
Tell us about your feminist journey?
Growing up in an environment where every woman in my family has supported their family, I have always admired women’s leadership. This has inspired me to understand finance and be financially independent. I am happy to be using and developing my skills in finance within a feminist organisation.
A feminist hero of yours?
My late Grandmother, who was a Nursing Officer supporting the public during the times of War in Sri Lanka – she was a hero to many. By being a financially strong woman, she has supported families and supported children in their studies.
