How do you put feminism into action at Womankind?
In my role as Communications Manager, I strive to ensure our corporate story embodies feminism, inclusivity, and diversity. This includes working with colleagues and bold partners to live out feminist principles and values as a reality and re-affirm women’s rights as a human right.
Tell us about your feminist journey?
I have always been bold from an early age advocating for equality and speaking out against patriarchy in all its forms. This has been within my family setting but also externally with various organisations where I have executed feminist campaigns advocating for women’s rights, more so, amplifying voices from the most oppressive contexts in the Global South.
A feminist hero of yours?
I admire Jacinda Arden- her posture, stance, and boldness as a woman in navigating a difficult political landscape. The leadership qualities she exuded during her time as Prime Minister proved that it is possible to lead with empathy and intellect. I am particularly drawn to her courage and strength as a feminist
