How do you put feminism into action at Womankind?
As a Communications Officer, I work together with the communications team to share and amplify the beautiful work by my fellow colleagues and our partners using communication tools that are important to ensure we have reached our target audience and made an impact.
Tell us about your feminist journey?
I believe I have been a feminist all my life, I just didn’t know how to place it or define it up until I was in my late 20s. That’s when I became more intentional and surrounded myself with fellow women who dreamed of the same future (sometimes bolder) with mine. Working in feminist organizations has also continued sparking this little fire in me and I can’t wait to learn, unlearn and grow more in this journey.
A feminist hero of yours?
Ama Ata Aidoo – The Ghanian feminist and writer. She may have rested but her words will live forever in most of us.
