How we work.

30 years of building alliances

For more than 30 years, we’ve been working with women’s rights organisations and movements to challenge the injustice facing women and girls and support them to claim their rights.

A movement for change

Change happens when women come together in movements. Women’s movements are diverse and determined. We listen to their needs to provide them with support to achieve their aims. This includes knowledge sharing, supporting feminist research, funding opportunities, amplifying messages through our communications, and facilitating their participation in key international events to influence policymakers. Collective action at our heart

We know that women’s rights organisations and movements are best placed to secure women’s rights. They understand what is happening in their local communities. We focus our efforts on strengthening women’s rights organisations, so they can collaborate, be better informed, shout louder, lobby harder and take action for long-term change for women and girls.

Our partners develop and deliver a wide programme of work in support of equal rights for women and girls. From providing safe houses for women escaping violence to supporting them to  become leaders, to supporting women led businesses, our partners are creating a better future for women.

Working in partnership gives us the collective power to:

  • Campaign for changes to laws that discriminate against women and girls.
  • Create universal access to services that protect and restore women’s rights.
  • Support women to understand and assert their rights.

Together with women’s movements we will change the world. We will shift the power. We will achieve human rights for all women and girls. Will you join us?
