Access to Justice: Breaking the barriers of silence

Globally, women with disabilities face shocking levels of violence—up to three times more than those without. In Nepal, stigma and inaccessible justice systems make seeking support even more challenging. Through the Access to Justice project, NDWA aims is to ensure Disabled women understand their rights, live free from violence, and have access to the justice they deserve.  Through this project, NDWA will provide skills training, seed funding, mental health and wellbeing support to ensure Disabled women and their carers can earn an independent income and access the services and support they need. Meanwhile, government officials and service providers will be trained to make justice systems inclusive and accessible to everyone.
