Pakasipiti began in 2011 when activists came together as change advocates seeking to challenge patriarchy, embrace diversity and use dialogue for transformation for lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons.
The aim is to increase the voice and visibility of the marginalised community. Pakasipiti also seeks to interrogate social values and norms around sex and sexuality with a view to promoting societal acceptance of sexual diversity and human rights.

Womankind partners with Pakasipiti to strengthen the women’s movement, including the voice and visibility of lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons.
