Young Women’s Leadership Institute (YWLI) was established as a feminist centre of excellence for nurturing the leadership of young women and girls.
YWLI provides spaces and opportunities for young women/feminists and girls to engage in setting their own agenda including through unconventional feminist platforms, to embrace and collaborate with developing groups.
YWLI is also a centre of knowledge regarding the rights of young women in Africa and the African diaspora. They are one of the African Centres of Excellence on women’s leadership and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), as a partner/beneficiary of the Institute of International Education.
